Restoring Nature and Trekking in the Rainy Season at Phu Soi Dao 🌲🌧️
Uttaradit Province is launching the "Returning Pine Trees and Orchids to Phu Soi Dao" activity from August 27-28, 2026, to stimulate sports and adventure tourism during the Green Season. The main highlight is a 6.5-kilometer trek to conquer the three-needle pine forest plateau at an altitude of 1,633 meters.
Key Highlights of the Trip
- Conservation Goal: Focusing on planting three-needle pine trees and wild orchids to restore the ecosystem. - Preventing soil erosion from flash floods.
- Highlight of the Pine Forest: An area of over 1,000 rai with fields of blooming wildflowers during August and September.
- Mountain Peak Record: The highest peak of Phu Soi Dao is 2,102 meters, the 4th highest in Thailand.
